As a therapist, a big part of my job entails that I provide a service delivery encompassing empathy, non-judgemental guidance and being unbiased – while effectively the client towards the desired change. I strive to lead others in finding their strengths and courage to confront and make sense of difficult emotions and experiences so they can learn and thrive in their lives and ecosystems.
Life was never easy going for me while growing up and seeking to gain mastery and empowerment within me was an uphill task, hence making me resonate with life’s pain, struggles, strife and confusion of the disadvantaged spectrum I work with.
Having worked within the youth at risk, incarceration, special needs and family therapy demographics, I have been validated by the many humbling learning experiences that have paved the way for me in my employment tenure. Currently, I am employed as a head of a department in a local VWO (voluntary welfare organization) pertaining to the rights and interests of the disadvantaged population in Singapore pertaining to people with disabilities.
Having a platform like Share is a game-changing experience as it provides an integrative experience for the host (therapist) and the end receiver (client). while the therapeutic experience is done via online, it is nevertheless holistic in nature.
